I decided to get on to Facebook and see what the fuss was about and managed to find some old friends from England. This was a surprise given that I had left my contact details on School Friends (also linked to the UK Site) and had received no contact at all from anybody. Given that I am being entirely cheap and refused to pay the $5 or $10 registration to be able to send emails to the people I wanted to I did manage to slip my email address into the visible portion of my profile.

So signing up on Facebook, the first thing I did was search for people from Carres Grammar School. Going through the names I see quite a few names that are very familiar. In the end I haven’t managed to track down Clive (a friend from before Carres, whom I found on SchoolFriends) but I am getting closer. I think I may have found his cousin, and will wait to find out. Social Networking has become very good at tracking people down. The world, today, seems just that much smaller.

Cheers, Chris.
